Very basic
Im a fan of Delta Airlines. They have decent service for an American carrier and actually care a little bit about customer service.
Their app, however, leaves a lot to be desired. It is non-native for many features, which means youre waiting for a website to load in the background. This always leaves a buggy experience. The screen layout and resolution still isnt optimized for newer phones.
There is missing functionality that other airline apps have had for a while. Why doesnt the boarding pass update when changes occur post check-in? I have to get an updated piece of paper at the gate after I scan my old boarding pass? How archaic.
The user experience leaves a lot to be desired as well. Too many clicks and taps to navigate. The app doesnt seem like it was put through much user testing.
Delta would do well to pay more attention and resources to this area of their customer service. People are likely these days to use the app exclusively, so by not having a well-designed offering, they risk losing business.
